The Anax Story
Anax Swim Academy was founded by Coach Nadine with a clear, personal mission: to bring elite-level swim coaching to the Parklands and greater Cape Town community — without the elitism that so often comes with it.
After years of competitive swimming and coaching experience, Nadine saw firsthand what exceptional coaching could do for a swimmer's life — not just in the pool, but in confidence, discipline, and resilience that transfer to every area of life.
Partnering with Planet Fitness Parklands to use their professional 25m indoor heated pool, Anax was born — a place where toddlers take their first nervous steps into water, and competitive swimmers push the limits of their best times.
Today, Anax has grown to serve 150+ swimmers of all ages, from Parklands to Blouberg, Milnerton, Sunningdale and beyond. The mission hasn't changed: personal, professional, expert coaching — for every swimmer.

All Anax coaches maintain active CPR and First Aid certifications. Emergency response protocols are reviewed and practised regularly.
Constant Supervision
Small class sizes ensure every swimmer is monitored at all times. Strict coach-to-swimmer ratios guarantee individual safety attention.
Professional Pool Facility
Planet Fitness maintains the pool to professional standards — clear water visibility, proper depth markers, lane ropes, and safety equipment on deck at all times.
Level-Based Progression
Swimmers are assessed and placed in appropriate skill groups. No swimmer progresses to deeper water or harder skills until they are genuinely ready.
